**Mrs. Louise H. Craft wrote of Achilles and "Kittie"
This may be of interest, when Catherine and Achilles Hayth came toBotetourt County from Campbell County (Rustburg), they rode in a jerseywagon. She carried a jar of peach preserves on her lap. They lived inthe log part of Bob Trasher's old house. She was known as "Kittie"Hayth. My mother, Kate Hammit, said her mother would take her to seeGrandmother Kittie. If they sat in her chair, see would say "you willtake my chair, but you won't take my coffin." Their daughter, SarahTrasher, built more to the house. It was a boarding house. SpringwoodPost Office was "Old Hickory" and the town was "Jackson."
