Mollie was a redhead until she had typhoid fever and lost all her hair. When it grew back, it was black/brown. She could let down her hair andalmost sit on it as it was so long. When George and Mollie were firstmarried and Mollie went visiting, she would use a horse and buggy to getplaces. Before she married she use to stay with an uncle who owned theHayth Hotel in Fincastle, Virginia. After her husband died she lived with her daughters, dividing her timeamong them. In the late 1940's and early 1950's she stayed most of hertime with her daughter Mary Ella Taylor. She favored purple dresses andwore black heavy shoes. She always carried a lovely handkerchief with herat all times.
